What do I NEED?

Packing for a newborn can feel like packing for a weekend away, even when you’re only leaving the house for an hour. For a baby-only photo session, you can keep it simple.

The Usual...

Bring your usual diaper bag with a few extra diapers, wipes, and a change of clothes for the trip home. If your baby takes a pacifier, tuck that in too. Bring whatever you normally use for feeding, whether that’s a bottle, formula, or just time to nurse.

You don’t need to keep your baby awake before the session or try to time a feeding perfectly. Newborns get hungry when they get hungry. We’ll pause when your baby needs to eat, be changed, or have a cuddle.

You’re welcome to bring one small item you’d love to include in a photo, like a blanket a grandparent made or a stuffed animal waiting in the nursery. There’s no need to bring a bag full of props. Your baby’s little hands, sleepy stretches, and wisps of hair are plenty to photograph.

The most helpful thing to bring is a little flexibility. Some babies settle right away. Others need a few breaks. Both are completely normal, and we can follow your baby’s lead.

Ready to capture all those tiny details? Book your baby’s newborn session with Fotos by Flores. I’d love to make photos you can look back on long after these first weeks have flown by.
